The
chapel of the seven saints.
|

|
Seven Km from
Plouaret, the chapel of the 7 saints is
located in a hamlet, part of Le Vieux-Marché
village. The chapel is dedicated to the
seven sleeping saints of Ephesus- in
Turkey now-Their history is found in a
breton ballad and in the 18th verse of
the Coran. This inspired a scholar in
oriental civilisations, Louis Massignon,
to build a bridge between the christian
and the muslim religions. So each year,
at the end of July, people of muslim and
christian faith meet together, united in
the worship for a sharing of peace.

Tonquedec
and the Leguer valley
|

|
The valley of
Leguer from Lannion to Belle- Isle -en
Terre offers a magnificent setting.
There are pathways along the riverside
where yo can discover treasures : the
medieval castle of Tonquedec or the more
recent Kergrist also, old renovated water
mills, chapels, manor houses. The real
Tregor is to be found here rather than on
on he coast.
